Students at RHS have individual pathways to graduation based on their goals and plans after high school. This section provides families and students with the tools to understand requirements, explore courses, and develop a personalized academic plan for success.

Internships:

• Internships are designed to connect students with real-world career experiences in our local communities. RHS students may participate in internships scheduled in the morning, midday, or afternoon. All internships are coordinated through Mrs. Snyder and Ms. Paulik. Students typically begin the application process with their support during junior year.

As part of Indiana's new diploma requirements, students can demonstrate readiness for Enrollment, Employment, or Enlistment by earning Credentials of Value—industry-recognized certifications, technical certificates, college credentials, and other achievements that prepare them for success after high school.

Rochester High School offers a wide variety of opportunities for students to earn these valuable credentials through internships, apprenticeships, dual credit courses, work based learning, and specialized programs. Our guidance team can help students explore options that align with their interests, goals, and future plans.

The PSAT, SAT, and ACT are standardized tests that help students prepare for and demonstrate college readiness. The PSAT provides valuable practice, while the SAT and ACT are commonly used by colleges and universities as part of the admissions process. Students should check the specific testing requirements of the colleges they plan to attend.

What is Indiana College Core? 

• The Indiana College Core (ICC) is a block of 30 college-level credit hours that can be earned in high school. These credits are guaranteed to transfer to all Indiana public colleges and universities, helping students save time and money after graduation. 

Plan Your ICC Path:

• Use the My College Core tool to create a plan of college-level courses you can take in high school to earn the Indiana College Core. Your RHS counselor will help you determine the best course sequence for your future college and career goals.

• The Core Transfer Library is a statewide list of courses that are approved for transfer between Indiana public colleges and several private institutions. It helps students understand which credits will transfer successfully after high school.

What is CTE?

• Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs help students explore career pathways through hands-on learning, industry certifications, and opportunities for college credit. These programs prepare students for college, careers, and military pathways by building real-world skills.

For students considering military service after high school, our guidance team is here to help navigate the process. Students can explore opportunities in the six branches of the U.S. Armed Forces: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Space Force. Each branch offers unique careers, training, and pathways after high school.

Our students have opportunities to meet with recruiters from any branch of the military, learn about ROTC programs, and explore the educational, leadership, and career opportunities available through service.

ASVAB Testing
"To meet this Postsecondary-ready Competency for the Graduation Pathways, a student must earn at least a minimum AFQT score to qualify for placement into one of the branches of the US military, which is currently set at the score of 31."

For Zebras interested in competing at the collegiate level, preparation starts long before graduation. Student-athletes should familiarize themselves with NCAA and NAIA eligibility requirements, academic expectations, and recruiting guidelines. The resources below can help students take the next steps toward achieving their athletic and academic goals.
