LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Rochester Youth Baseball League Grand Slam Scholarship - a video must be submitted and the instructions are in the application.  For students that participated in youth sports and high school extracurricular activities.  Due Apr 10.

Fulton County REMC Student Board - We are seeking current high school sophomores to serve a two-year term beginning in August 2026. To be eligible, students must have a parent, grandparent, or guardian who is a member of Fulton County REMC. The Student Board meets once per month (excluding July) and offers a unique opportunity for students to gain leadership experience and learn more about their local electric cooperative. Throughout the program, students will, attend and observe board meetings, participate in hands-on line building activities, help host a community event, learn about personal finance, gain experience with Robert’s Rules of Order, and deliver a final presentation to our Board of Directors. Upon high school graduation, students will receive a scholarship in recognition of their service. The scholarship amount can be up to $3,000 and is based on meeting attendance throughout the two-year commitment.  Due Apr 1.

Richland Center IOOF - The Richland Center IOOF scholarship is awarded to seniors who reside in Richland Township or have a family member who is a member of the lodge.  A resume is required.  Due Mar 30. Turn applications into guidance.

Kappa Delta Phi - Will award two scholarships for seniors planning to attend college or vocational school.  To apply, write a paragraph about yourself and your educational goals, and a paragraph about your family.  A resume, transcript and a budget sheet are also required.  Due Mar 31.  Turn applications into guidance.

Woodlawn Hospital Auxiliary - Designed to facilitate the development of an educated healthcare workforce. The Auxiliary is pleased to offer scholarships to Fulton County high school students pursuing healthcare vocations at an accredited college.  Scholarships will be given to applicants on the basis of academic performance, educational goals, financial need and other factors related to school, and community involvement.  A personal interview may be required.  Applications should be returned to Woodlawn Health, Attn Jason See, Chaplain, 1400 E Ninth St, Rochester IN 46975.  Due Apr 1.

Fraternal Eagles Lodge and Eagles Auxiliary Scholarship - Offer scholarships for students planning to attend a two-year or four-year college.  A resume and a budget sheet are required.  Due Apr 1.  Turn applications into guidance.

Daughters of the American Revolution - For senior women, this scholarship is worth $500.  You do not need to be a part of the Daughters of the American Revolution to win.  Applicants will need to write an essay on: What does the flag of the United States mean to you?  Due Apr 1.  Turn applications into guidance.

RCTA Scholarship - Offers a scholarship for a student(s) entering the field of education.  If still pursuing a career in education, the recipient will receive the award upon completion of their sophomore year.  A resume and budget sheet are required along with three teacher’s recommendations.  The teachers selected must represent elementary, middle, and high school.  Due Apr 2.  Turn applications into guidance.

Rochester Rotary Club - Each year the Rochester Rotary Club presents one $1,000 scholarship to prospective and/or current nursing students who reside in Fulton County. You may reapply for this scholarship each year you are a Nursing Major.  Due Apr 2.  Turn applications into guidance.

Rochester Music Booster Scholarship - This $250 scholarship is available to Rochester Community High School seniors who have been active in the band, choir or color guard programs for at least 3 years and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and plan to attend a college or university.  The link takes you directly to the application which is a google form.  Due Apr 3.

Rochester Elks - Must be a resident of Fulton County and a child/grandchild of a member of Elks Lodge #2120.  Due Apr 6.  Turn applications into guidance.

American Legion Auxiliary - Established several scholarships for Fulton County students interested in attending college or vocational schools.  The monetary award will be made at the completion of the first semester or term upon presentation or copy of a grade report.  Due Apr 8.  Turn applications into guidance.

Rochester IOOF - The Rochester IOOF Lodge #47 is announcing the availability of a $500.00 scholarship to a Fulton County resident wishing to further their education after high school. The $500.00 will be given at the beginning of the student's second term.  Due Apr 13.  Turn applications into guidance.

Fulton County Pork Producers - Awards scholarships to recognize dedication and commitment to agriculture.  The recipient will demonstrate dedication to the agricultural industry with plans to make a significant contribution to the industry upon completion of his/her education.  The student can be pursuing a degree in a 2 or 4-year college in an agriculture related field.  Due Apr 15.  Turn applications into guidance.
STATE & NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Horatio Alger Association Scholarship - students can receive up to $2,500 to pursue career and technical education.  Must attend a not-for-profit community college or trade school.  Household income cannot exceed $100,000.  Due Jun 15.

Kyle Harrop Scholarship - student must have participated in Academic Spell Bowl, Academic Super Bowl and/or Academic Quiz Bowl.  Must attend Purdue West Lafayette in Fall 2026. Due Mar 31.

Builders Association of North Central Indiana - The Scholarship Fund will award scholarships to deserving students who have chosen the building industry as their vocation. Scholarships will be awarded to individuals desiring to continue their education to enhance their career in the building industry, whether it be a structured degree, certification, designation apprenticeship, or an approved continuing education class. The awards are no less than $1000 per school year and are not automatically renewable. Students may re-apply if they continue with a trade related degree.  Due Apr 15.

Indiana Association for the Gifted - 2 merit-based scholarships of $2,000 open to Indiana students who demonstrate strong academic achievement, engagement and potential.  Also has a scholarship for high ability students who have one or more documented exceptionalities (examples are on the website).  Both applications are due Mar 27.

Indiana Sheriffs' Association Scholarship - for students pursuing a degree in criminal justice studies.  40- $1,000 scholarships awarded throughout the state.  Applicant must be an Indiana resident, current member of the association or a dependent child or grandchild of a current member of the association, attend an Indiana college or university full time, and major in a law enforcement field.  Due Apr 1.

American Public Works Association - for seniors pursuing a degree in related Public Works fields including but not exclusively in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Public Works Management.  The deadline for submission is April 10, 2026.   Eligibility: High School Seniors who plan to attend an accredited institution of higher learning during the Fall 2025 Semester at the undergraduate level whose major course of study encompasses the fields of Engineering, Public Works Administration, Public Relations, Finance or other programs within the public works field are eligible. Candidates must reside within Indiana. Students may be part- time or full- time at an accredited institution of higher learning; however, candidates must be seeking a degree. 

Mitch Daniels Early Graduation Scholarship - a one-time $4,000 scholarship for students who graduate from a publicly supported high school at least one year early. The scholarship may be used toward tuition and fees and any remaining funds shall be remitted to the student. This scholarship may not be used for remedial course work.  Must complete FAFSA and apply for scholarship through ScholarTrack.  Due Aug 31.

4-H Scholarships - several scholarships for ag students and/or students participating in 4-H.  Most are due Jan 25, but some aren't open yet and are due in June.

SCHOLARSHIPS FROM COLLEGES

Eureka College (Illinois) - Ronald Reagan Leadership Program - offers 4 year full tuition scholarships if selected for the program

Indiana State University- Freshman Scholarship Page - this leads to the scholarships available to incoming freshman

IU Bloomington- Cox Scholarship- scholars are provided part-time jobs and receive a scholarship package will total the official cost of attendance (in conjuction with any other insitutional, federal or state funding), requirements for the scholarship are that you are enrolled full time, demonstrate financial need by filling out the FAFSA, and demonstrate that you are a hard worker along with a solid academic record. First Nations Scholarship Program- supports incoming undergraduate Native students, covers the direct cost of attendance for Indiana University Bloomington, plus books and supplies for up to four years. Lauren Robel Bicentennial Scholarship- provides students living in 25 select counties with $2,500 per year renewable for four years, scholarship is automatically awarded to students upon admission to IU Bloomington.

IU South Bend- offers Titan Scholarships: Gold Award $8,000 over four years for those with a GPA of 3.75 or higher, Silver Award $4,000 over four years to those with 3.5 or higher or has Honors diploma and GPA of 3.25 or higher, Onsite Award $3,000 over four years to those with GPA of 3.0 or higher when students apply during a high school visit

Manchester University- Many scholarships are offered; academic scholarship amounts have increased this year!  A scholarship is awarded just for visiting their campus.  To view the many scholarships Manchester has to offer go to Undergraduate Scholarships for Manchester.

Purdue Ft Wayne- Summit Scholars - Two types of scholarships offered through this program.  They are premier competitive, merit-based scholarships that offer full tuition, housing, stipend for food, textbooks and fees for up to four years.  Student must first apply with PFW.  Must meet one of the following qualifications: 3.95 GPA and 90th percentile class rank or 1380 SAT or higher or 29 ACT or higher.

Purdue University (West Lafayette/Indianapolis)- Boiler Gold Grant - Undergraduate Indiana residents at the West Lafayette campus, and incoming resident freshmen students at Purdue Indianapolis, that are enrolled full-time (12 credit hours or more) and are pursuing their first bachelor’s degree are eligible. Qualifying students must either be Federal Pell Grant eligible or have a family-adjusted gross income (AGI) of $80,000 or less on the FAFSA. The Boiler Gold Grant covers tuition, fees and books after the total amount of any gift aid (Pell grant, scholarships, awards) is subtracted. Any remaining balance is covered by the Boiler Gold Grant for up to 8 semesters. Housing, dining and course fees are not included in this grant.

West Point- Summer Leaders Experience - a rigorous five-day, overnight immersion led entirely by current West Point cadets. SLE offers an authentic look at cadet life and challenges students academically, militarily, physically, and socially. Participants will experience:

  • Hands-on academic workshops: Choose from 17 sessions taught by West Point faculty.
  • Physical and military training: Army PT workouts, obstacle courses (indoor and outdoor), the Candidate Fitness Assessment (CFA), and more.
  • Leadership and character development: Team-building exercises, the Leader Reaction Course, ethics discussions, and cadet-led activities.

Check out the SLE 2025 VIDEO to learn more about the experience. Students can choose between three SLE sessions: Session 1: May 30 – June 3, Session 2: June 5 – June 9, Session 3: June 11 – June 15. Applications for SLE open on February 15, and selections will be made on a rolling basis starting March 15. When high school students submit this application, it also completes the first part of the West Point application process. Ideal candidates will demonstrate academic excellence, leadership within their community, and a readiness to take on physical challenges. OTHER SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

  • American Indian College Fund – Provides Native American students with scholarships and financial support for the nation’s 33 accredited tribal colleges and universities.
  • American Indian Science and Engineering Society - Funding the STEM futures of American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, and First Nations Students.
  • American Indian Graduate Center & AIGCS - The largest scholarship providers to Native students in the United States, awarding $15 million in scholarships annually and more than $200 million since inception. For almost 50 years, AIGC has funded students pursing undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees in any field of study at any accredited institution of choice, working with over 500 tribes in all 50 states.
  • Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund – The nation’s largest non-profit organization devoted to providing college scholarships for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI).
  • Automotive Women's Alliance Foundation Scholarship - Scholarships are awarded to female with North American citizenship and a passion for a career or advancement in the automotive, mobility and its related industries. To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants should be already accepted to or enrolled in an accredited collegiate program, with a 3.0 or higher GPA. Applications accepted throughout the year.
  • Aya Healthcare Future Travel Nurse Scholarship - Whether you’re already attending nursing school or were just accepted, we encourage you to apply for the Aya Healthcare Future Travel Nurse Scholarship. Each year, up to ten (10) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to nursing students who have a 3.0 gpa or higher, are involved in extracurricular organizations and are passionate about patient care.
  • Cappex – A free website where you can learn which colleges want you, before you apply and learn about more than $11 billion in merit aid scholarships.
  • CashCourse – Information that helps college students stay financially informed.
  • Chegg – A place to connect with scholarships and learn about colleges.
  • The College Board Opportunity Scholarships - The program guides juniors and seniors through the college planning process and offers the chance to earn scholarships, from $500 to $40,000, for every action that students complete.
  • Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation – Educational and scholarship opportunities for students of all levels.
  • Dell Scholars Program – Recognizes academic potential and determination in students that have a definite need for financial assistance.
  • Fastweb – Create a profile and let fastweb do the research on scholarships, internships colleges and more for you.
  • The Gates Scholarship - The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding high school seniors from low-income households.
  • Going Merry - A free, one-stop scholarships platform. It matches you with scholarships and then helps you apply directly. It has both local and national scholarships and you can bulk-apply for multiple scholarships, which share similar essay prompts, using one application.
  • Goizueta Legacy Scholarship - Provides scholarships for the children of Coca-Cola employees.
  • HS Finder (Hispanic Scholarship Fund) – Scholarship information for Latino students.
  • Jack Kent Cooke Foundation - A national scholarship provider dedicated to advancing the education of promising students who have financial need. Open to high-achieving high school seniors who seek to attend and graduate from some of the nation's best four-year college and universities.
  • Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship - JRF Scholars receive college scholarships of up to $35,000 over four years and are financially sponsored to attend JRF‘s annual, four-day “Mentoring and Leadership Conference“ in New York City and other events throughout the year. Aside from generous financial support, Scholars benefit from a comprehensive, four-year program that includes career guidance, internship and permanent job placement, travel abroad, and leadership and practical life skills training.
  • KnowHow2GO – Complete information on college prep, whether in middle school or seniors.
  • National Space Club and Foundation Keynote Scholar Application - Provided to a high school senior, undergraduate or graduate student with definite plans to pursue a career in the Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) fields. Since 2013, The National Space Club and Foundation has offered the opportunity for a student to give the keynote address at the National Space Club and Foundation's annual Goddard Memorial Dinner, one of the space industry's most prestigious gatherings. In addition to speaking at the Goddard Memorial Dinner, the individual selected will also receive a scholarship, in the amount of $20,000.
  • The NSHSS Foundation - The NSHSS Foundation fosters the growth of students pursuing the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math), business, economics, public policy, and environmental science and sustainability fields. The NSHSS Foundation connects young scholars with additional opportunities to advance their education, personal growth and career interests.
  • Peerlift - Proven scholarships, internships, summer programs, and more gathered by fellow students like you. (Founded by a team of 2017 Coca-Cola Scholars!) Learn more about the creation of Peerlift.
  • The Platta Law Firm Students with Disabilities Scholarship - open to high-achieving students who have a medical record of disability and is enrolled in high school or an accredited college or university.
  • Reagan Foundation Scholarships - Scholarship opportunities for outstanding student leaders.
  • Ron Brown Scholar Program - The Ron Brown Scholar Program provides $40,000 scholarships to African American high school seniors who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to community service.

  • Thurgood Marshall College Fund – Provides scholarships, programmatic and capacity building support to the 47 public Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
  • UNCF – Awards 10,000 students each year through 400 scholarship and internship programs so that students from low- and moderate-income families can afford college tuition, books and room and board.
